Subhakūṭa.—The name of Missaka Mountain (Sīlakūṭa) in the time of Kassapa Buddha. Ceylon was then known as Maṇdadīpa. It was on Subhakūṭa that Kassapa Buddha landed when he arrived in Ceylon.¹
