Thirty-one kappas ago he offered some kuṭaja-flowers to a Pacceka Buddha, named Sumana.¹ He is evidently identical with Kuṭajapupphiya Thera of the *Apadāna*.*²* ¹ Thag. vs. 29; ThagA. i. 87 f. ² Ap. ii. 451.
