DĀRVAM. The word Darvas indicates a particular class of Kṣatriyas. In Mahābhārata, Sabhā Parva, Chapter 52, Stanza 13, it is said that the Kṣatriyas of this family had presented Dharmaputra with a large quantity of wealth.
