GOTRA. A son of Vasiṣṭha. Vasiṣṭha had of his wife Ūrjā seven sons named Rajas, Gotra, Ūrddhvabāhu, Savana, Anagha, Sutapas and Śukra. These holy men were saptarṣis in the third Manvantara. (Chapter 1, Viṣṇu Purāṇa).
