NILAGIRI. Name of a mountain in the region called Ilāvṛta of Jambū island. In Ilāvṛta there are three chief mountains called Nilagiri, Śvetagiri and Śṛṅgavān, and in their middle three Varṣas (regions) called Ramyaka, Hiraṇmaya and Kuru. (Devī Bhāgavata, 8th Skandha).
