(4) The Siṃhalas took the side of the Kauravas in the battle of Bhārata. In the Garuḍa vyūha formed by Droṇa, the Siṃhalas were stationed in the position of the neck. (M.B. Droṇa Parva, Chapter 20, Verse 6).
