(1) In the *niryukti* on Dasāsuyakkhandha he has first of all saluted Bhaddabāhu(1) describing him as belonging to the Pāiṇa lineage, the last knower of all the scriptures and the author of Dasā, Kappa(2) and Vavahāra.²
