**1. Meyajja** (Metārya) **Tenth (principal disciple) Gaṇadhara of Titthayara Mahāvīra.¹ He was son of Datta(8) and his wife Varuṇadevā belonging to the Tuṃgiya(2) settlement. His family-line was Koḍiṇṇa.² He had a discussion with Titthayara Mahāvīra at Majjhimā-Pāvā regarding the existence of heaven, hell etc. Being convinced by his arguments he became a disciple of the Titthayara along with his three hundred pupils.³ At that time he**
