Then Mahāvīra araived at Jaṃbhiyagāma. From there he went to Meṃḍhiyagāma, Chammāṇi, Majjhimā-Pāvā and back to Jaṃbhiyagāma. At Chammāṇi, a cowherd tortured Mahāvīra by piercing wooden pegs into his ears.⁷⁰
