They are four hundred yojanas high and four hundred gavyūtis deep near mount Nisadha(2) and mount Nilavamta(1).² They are situated in Mahāvideha and are twenty in number: Mālavamta(1), Cittkūḍa(1), Pamhākūḍa(1) Naḷinakūḍa and Egasela(2) to the east of mount Mamdara and north of river Siyā; Tikūḍa, Vesamaṇakūḍa, Amjaṇa, Māyamjaṇa and Somaṇasa(5) to the south of river Siyā; Vijjuppabha(1), Amkāvai(2), Pamhāvai(1), Āsīvisa(2) and Suhāvaha to the west of Mamdara and south of river Sioyā; and Cāmdapavvaya, Sūra-pavvaya, Nāgapavvaya, Devapavvaya and Gamdhamādaṇa to the north of Sioyā.³
