*Andhra-daṇḍa* (IE 8-5), a tax; cf. *Turuṣka-daṇḍa* and *Tiguḷa-daṇḍa*. There is also reference to ‘an assembly of *Andhra-daṇḍa*’, the meaning of which is doubtful unless *daṇḍa* is taken here in the sense of ‘an army’.
