Nūrmaḍi (IE 8-2; SII 3), Kannaḍa, ‘hundred times’; word prefixed to the names of certain kings in order to distinguish them from their predecessors bearing the same name; e.g. Nūrmaḍi Taila, ‘one who is a hundredfold Taila’; cf. Savāi Jayasiṃha, ‘one and one-fourth of Jayasiṃha’. See Immaḍi and Mummuḍi.
