*Arakṣ-ādhikṛta* (IE 8-3); cf. Prakrit *Ārakh-ādhikata* (EI 2), a police officer; a magistrate looking after the maintenance of law and order, or the chief of the king’s body-guards; same as *Arakṣika*.
