(SII 3, 12; SITI), land set apart for meeting the expenses of worship (*arcanā*) in the temple; an endowment created for conducting worship; same as *arcanā-vrtti*. *arcanā-vibhava-kāni* (SITI), Sanskrit-Tamil; rent-free land granted to temple priests. *arcanā-vrtti* (SII 3; SITI); see *arcanā-bhoga*. *ardha-candra* (SITI), literally, ‘half-moon’; a part of the *tiruvāsi*; a variety of ornament.
