*Āyukta* (CII 4; HD), literally ‘an officer’. Same as *Āyuktaka*. Pāṇini (II, 3. 40) knows the word in the sense of a servant or office. Cf. *Āyukta-puruṣa* (CII, Vol. III, p. 8).
