2. A grant of the Eastern Cālukya Ammarāja II (945–970) of the four adjacent villages of Tāṇḍikoṇḍa, Ammalapūṇḍi, Gollapūṇḍi, and Ācuvulaparru to the temple of Samastabhuvanāśraya at Vijayavāṭī.³ Of these villages only the first can be traced, but they were all in the District of Guntūr. The component *Ācuvula* in the name of the fourth village is probably equivalent to *Ācuva*, the usual form of Ājīvika in the Tamil inscriptions, and the name therefore means "the village of the Ājīvikas".
