Turning now to the north-west, the temple of AMARNĀTH, in Kashmīr, is to be noted. Yogīs visit the shrine of their master which is situated in a cave. Formerly all danced before Śiva, here, naked. Women now wear a single garment. Śiva is here represented by a liṅga which is a block of ice.
