Bhaddarī² Yogīs and Nandī Jogīs in the west of the United Provinces, work as tailors and silk-spinners, and have several gotras with Rājput names (e.g. Chāuhān, Kucch-wāha, Gahlot).³ There is also a caste known as Ḍomjogī who are beggars. The Thārus, who live below the Nepalese hills, are divided into clans, one of which is known as Jogī.
