(2) The Jāfir Pīrs are Musalmāns. They are well known in the Panjab. Although they are Kānphaṭas, Hindu Yogīs do not eat with them. They are followers of Rāñjha and disciples of Bālkeśwarnāth. These Yogīs are not counted as one of the twelve sects. Some trace them to Santoknāth, who is Viṣṇu. The Pir Jogīs, who are also Musalmāns, perhaps of the same panth, will eat the food of other Yogīs, but others will not eat their food. At Ṭilla it was affirmed that these Yogīs are not found at Siālkot.
