1. *Satnāth*. This division is reported in nearly all of the lists. It is related to the Paṅk, the fourth of the sects surviving from the Śiva panths. They have a gaddi at Purī and other establishments at Bhewa, Thānesar and Karnāl. According to the mahant at Purī, the patch-work cap, coat and quilt are a mark of this sub-sect. From this line sprang the Dharamnāthīs; and Garīb-nāth, who accompanied Dharamnāth to Kacch, was of this division. This panth is said to follow Brahmā.
