² Although Murāri (i. 15. 4) and, following him Locana, describes Caitanya as deeply attached to his second wife, Vṛndāvana-dāsa (Ādi xii) mentions Viṣṇupriyā only once. But Locana goes further and describes Caitanya's love-sport with Viṣṇupriyā on the night before his Saṃnyāsa!—In his Kāvya, Kavikarṇapūra does not describe Caitanya's marriage to Viṣṇupriyā (iii. 127-144) as elaborately as that to Lakṣmī (iii. 6-81); in the drama (i. 23, 24) he incidentally mentions the two marriages.
