² Murāri (iv. 14. 3-11), and following him Locana, tells us that Caitanya once again visited Navadvīpa in later years during his visit to Gauḍa. Other biographers are silent on this point, possibly because such a visit would be contrary to the usual practice of a Saṃnyāsin, but Vāsu Ghoṣa in one of his Padas alludes to it (*Gaurapada*, 2nd ed. p. 271).
