¹ Rajendralal Mitra, *Notices* viii, pp. 291-2, no. 2854. The colophon designates the author as Gauḍīyācārya-sārvabhauma-bhaṭṭācārya. The terms of reference to his father Viśārada indicate that Viśārada was also a Vedāntist (*vedānta-vidyā-maya*). The name occurs as Narahari, although Bengal Vaiṣṇava works make it Maheśvara! He was a Vandyaghaṭīya Brahman (*irī vandyānvaya*).—The work was written under the patronage of Gajapati Pratāparudra of Orissa.
