² He married Vasudhā and Jāhnavī, daughters of Sūryadāsa Sārkhel. This was done, it is said, with the permission of Caitanya himself. Jayānanda (p. 3) speaks of another daughter of Sūryadāsa, named Candramukhī as a beloved of Nityānanda ! The ascetic Vṛndāvana Gosvāmins apparently never liked all this.
