in his commentary on Rūpa's *Govinda-birudāvali*, speaks of a *Biruda-lakṣaṇa* by Rūpa, which discussed the metrical and other characteristics of a *Biruda-kāvya*.¹ Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja also, in his enumeration of Rūpa's works, speaks of गोविन्दबिरुदावली आर ताहार लक्षण. This appears to be the recently published work *Sāmānya-birudāvali-lakṣaṇa*.²
