(e) The soul is of the same nature as beings of the *viññāṇañcāyatana*.³ Like these beings it can remain beyond the sphere of the *Ākāsānañcāyatanapaga* gods and identifies itself with ‘infinite consciousness’ (*anantaṃ viññāṇaṃ*).
