In the later Upaniṣads, such as the Nṛsiṃhatāpanīya, Garbha, Cūlikā, and others, clear references to Sāṃkhya doctrines occur, but the dates of these Upaniṣads are far too uncertain, and probably late, to throw any light on the question of the origin or of the doctrines of the Sāṃkhya.
