⁵ The sense of ‘harnessing’ seems to be found in *ātmānaṁ yuñjīta* in Mahānār. lxiii. 21; Maitr. vi. 3; as a union of breath and Om, Yoga is found in Maitr. vi. 25; in KU. ii. 12 it is practically equivalent to the restraint of the senses. Cf. above, § 8.
