³ Hence the word has a wider meaning than was supposed by the AUTHOR, K. 4, 18-20. It appears that also *sambhunjutta* K. 4. 4; Thāṇ. 56b; 164b alludes to the *sambhoga*, whereas by *samvasittas* (or *samvās.*) a different and closer living community is being meant.—BUHLER WZKM 9, 237; 4, 316 along with LEUMANN understood by *sambhoga* a "district-community" in the kind of the *maṇḍala* known among the Dig.
