¹ Acc. to Vav. 3, 7 the 8 years entitle to the āyariyatta jāva (in the Sthānakvāsī print rendered by pavattitta theratta gaṇitta) gaṇavaccheiyatta. This does not correspond with the order of precedence, and possibly the words of jāva gaṇ. (and their resp. renderings) have but crept into the text after the model of other passages. Equally so in the comm. on Uvav. 31 (above § 140).
