As to such objects not necessarily pertaining to the outfit, the uvaggaha as against the oha (Ohaṇijj. 671, 23 ff.), the camma, c.-kosaga, c.-cchevaṇa, and the cilmili have been mentioned above already. Of the four uttara-paṭṭa admitted two are the above mentioned nisejjā on the hand-broom, while the remaining two serve as blankets on the bed (samthāra, § 147). A further paṭṭa is defined as yogapaṭṭaka indicating that it was used for meditation or for ascetic positions. The passage referred to deals more widely with the daṇḍaga and the vidaṇḍaga, the travelling-staffs for either the dry or the rainy seasons, and with the laṭṭhi (Āyār. 1 43, 4), laṭṭhiyā (Āyār. II 77, 31; Viv. 8, 5) and vilaṭṭhi, which are applied differently and serve for protection, etc.
