In the Bronze and Coin form (10th century B. C. to 3rd century B. C. ) and other forms found on coins of Chou period (6th to 3rd century B.C.) more or less similar symbols as those of Shang oracle bone were employed. Neither improvement of method nor use of place-value was known to them.
