( b ) *Bhāskara II and his concept of differential*—In the *Spaṣṭādhikāra*¹ chapter of his *Siddhāntaśiromaṇi* Bhāskara II deals with *tātkāliki-gati* ( motion for a moment ) of a planet which differs very little from the instataneous motion of modern concept of differential calculus.
