5. Pramāṇa: A patient is also to be examined with reference to pramāṇa or the measurement of his bodily parts. This is determined by measuring the height, length and breadth of different parts by taking finger breadth of the individual as the unit of measurement. This is called Aṅgula Pramāṇa.
