2.A. *Antaḥ Parimārjana*: diseases caused by improper diet, etc are eradicated by medicines meant for internal cleaning. This method consists of two main procedures (i) *Saṃśodhana* - general cleansing of the entire physical constitution through *pañca karma* therapy utilising the techniques of *Vamana*, *Virecana*, *Vasti*, *Sirovirecana* and *Raktamokṣaṇa*. (ii) *Samśamana* - general palliation of the constitution through drugs, diet, and exercise etc.
