Vegetables (*śākajāti*) like cucumbers are to be treated by fumigating them with the bones of cow and dog and the ordure of a cat (verse 220). Saplings are not to be administered pungent susbtances nor are they to be fumigated (verse 221). If the treatments do not respond, the trees are to be transplanted in a soil of better quality (verse 222).
