Śālihotra is again mentioned in his commentary called Tikasarvasya of Nāmaliṅgānuśāsana, the dictionary of Amarsiṃha. Moreover, many other authors on horses, who are equally antique and authentic began their writings by paying respect to Śālihotra as the originator of the science.
