According to the same work *Paryankas* are of two kinds viz. *Balaparyanka* and *Paryanka*. The former is intended for the children while the latter is meant for elders. They are distinguished by their sizes. Interestingly, of the Āgamas *Suprabhedāgama* deals with the furniture articles like *Āsana* (chair, seats), *Paryanka* (bedsteads, couches etc), *Siṃhāsana* (thrones) (Acharya, P.K. 1927, p. 619).
