The Milinda-pañha (The Questions of Milinda or Menander of Sialkot) of this period enumerated 75 occupations of which sixty involved various kinds of crafts. Eight crafts related to separate metals, minerals and precious stones. A variety of brass (ārakūṭa), zinc, antimony and red arsenic were mentioned (Milinda - pañha, 2.106).
