Further north is the site of Sarai Khola, which is about 2 km south-west of the Bhir Mound, the earlier city state of Taxila. Period II here marked the use of Kot Dijian pottery and use of carnelian, lapis lazuli and agate blades, and of faience bangles. Copper was used; antimony rods, pins, bangles, needles, nail parers and spearheads have been found.
