v1.c14.s2.t6.3
Analysis of thousands of copper artefacts shows a wide spectrum of impurity levels which could not be due to deliberate alloying. Thus diverse kinds of ores (some from Rajasthan) might have been used. The impurity level variation noted were: 0-4.02 per cent Fe, 0-13.8 per cent Sn (deliberate alloying), 0-3.6 per cent Pb, 0-2.48 per cent Ni etc.
