Onyx was more popular at Lothal than in the Indus Valley. It is found at Vijarkhi—4 miles south-east of Narmana, a Harappan site in the Halar District of Saurashtra. Standard barrels and cylinders (both with lenticular section) of onyx are found in considerable numbers at Lothal.
