There was very little material prosperity in the pre-1200 BC settlement at Hastināpura. Even the PGW era on the site starting from 1100 BC does not show widespread urban settlement. Along with PGW we find some alloyed copper, glass and carnelian. Iron was introduced only towards the end of the era, i.e., around 800 BC.
