The compositional factors such as low Mn and S, high P, high slag content etc. were not denied by Wranglén (1970) altogether, and we have no hesitation in concluding that the unusually low corrosion rate of the Delhi iron pillar has been both due to Delhi (atmosphere) and the pillar (composition)!
