Gems and pearls came from the Mountain Malayakoṭi in the Pāṇḍya kingdom, river Cūrṇī in Kerala and ‘even from beyond the sea’ pārasamudraśca, i.e., Sri Lanka, its river Kulā near Mayuragrāma (2.11.2 & 28).
