*Chrysoberyl* : BeAl₂O₄. Hardness 8.5. Tabular and not hexagonal crystallization. Ordinarily pale green but trace impurity of iron makes it yellow. *Chryso* means golden. *Cat's eye* has greenish colour and exhibits a fine chatoyant effect. Available in Sri Lanka.
