*Sāra* : core, pith, solid interior of anything, firmness, strength. (3.3.17) says '*sṛ sthire ghañ*'—*ghañ* affix comes after the verb *sṛ* (to move) when the agent is permanently fixed (*Sthira*) i.e. *Sṛ + Ghañ = Sāra*
