Though lavish description of the rites and ceremonies in connexion with the construction of the various other altars, such as the *Darśapaurṇamāsa-vedi*, *Uttara-vedi*, *Aśvamedha-vedi*, *Āgnīdhrīya*, *Hotrīya*, *Mārjālīya*, *Sadas*, *Uparavas*, etc., are commonly found in the *Taittirīya* and other *Saṁhitā*, any clear mention of their spatial magnitudes are very rare therein.
