¹ For example, by composition of the solution (1, 0) of the equation 13x²-13=y² with the solution (3/2, 11/2) of the equation 13x²+1=y², we obtain, after Bhâskara II, a new solution (11/2, 39/2) of the former, in which the greater root is greater than the lesser root. Similarly, by composition of the solution (2, 1) of the equation -5x²+21=y² with the solution (½, 3/2) of the equation -5x²+1=y², we get a new solution (1, 4) of the former satisfying the same condition.
