“The product of the coefficient of the factum and the absolute number together with the product of the coefficients of the unknowns is divided by an optional number. Of the optional number and the quotient obtained, the greater is added to the lesser (of the coefficients of the unknowns) and the lesser to the greater (of the coefficients), and (the sums) are divided by the coefficient of the factum. (The results will be values of the unknowns) in the reverse order.”\1
